I'm Josh. I grew up fishing ponds and lakes in Kansas — mostly crappie, catfish, and bluegill — and like a lot of folks, I thought I knew fishing.

Then I moved to Mukilteo.

The first time I hooked a pink, I was instantly humbled... and instantly hooked. With help from some patient locals, I started to figure out what actually works out here.

Humpy Hollow is dedicated to sharing what makes this fishery so special — from salmon and crab to shrimp, squid, and everything in between. We’re here to help more people enjoy one of the most accessible fisheries in the region. I'm actively building out the site with local knowledge, practical resources, and a small handful of products — all curated to help you fish smarter and enjoy more time on the water.

This site is part fishing journal, part gear guide, part local soapbox. It's a resource built to help folks get on the water faster, smarter, and with more confidence — especially if they're new to saltwater. I'm not a pro, just someone who's learned through trial, error, and a lot of early mornings.
